About This Position
The Development Coordinator supports Immanuel Christian School by advancing all aspects of fundraising, donor engagement, events, and communications. This part-time role blends donor stewardship and event coordination with creative responsibilities. While some on-campus presence is required for meetings and events, this position allows remote work for portions of the week. The Development Coordinator reports directly to the Head of School and collaborates closely with the Advancement Team to strengthen relationships with donors, alumni, families, and community partners.
Core Responsibilities
1. Donor Database & Gift Processing
- Maintain and update donor records with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Process and acknowledge gifts, pledges, and contributions in a timely manner.
- Generate reports and queries to support fundraising strategy and donor communication.
2. Donor Stewardship & Communications
- Prepare thank-you letters, donor reports, and recognition materials.
- Assist with donor outreach and relationship-building activities.
- Support communication through print mailings, digital newsletters, and online platforms.
3. Fundraising Campaign Support
- Coordinate logistics for annual giving campaigns and special fundraising appeals.
- Track donations and support the preparation of grant applications.
- Research prospective donors, sponsors, and partnership opportunities.
4. Event Coordination
- Assist with planning and executing fundraising events such as galas, donor appreciation gatherings, and community engagement events.
- Manage event logistics, including invitations, RSVPs, materials, and vendor communication.
- Provide on-site event support to ensure seamless execution.
Preferred Responsibilities (Not Required)
5. Design & Communications
- Design visually compelling materials for fundraising campaigns and donor communication (print and digital).
- Create graphics for social media, email newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Support brand consistency across all development-related communications.
- Assist with maintaining development-related content on the school website and social media channels.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the mission and goals of the Development and Communications teams.
• Mature Christian faith and a clear commitment to the mission of Christian education.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with donor databases or CRM systems (training available).
• Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (Preferred, not required).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in event planning and coordination.
