Overview

The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Alliance Laundry Systems’ hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, identity management, and enterprise applications.

This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable IT services that support business operations across manufacturing, corporate, and global teams. The Systems Administrator partners closely with Security, Networking, Applications, and external vendors to continuously improve performance, resilience, and compliance posture.



Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

  • Administer and support hybrid infrastructure environments (VMware/VxRail, Windows Server, AWS, Azure, and SaaS platforms)
  • Manage virtual servers, storage, backups, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning across compute, storage, and network services
  • Participate in vulnerability remediation and lifecycle management of systems

Identity & Access Management

  • Support enterprise identity platforms (e.g., Okta, IAM Identity Center, Active Directory)
  • Implement and maintain role-based access controls (RBAC) and least-privilege principles
  • Support audit requests and access reviews

Security & Compliance

  • Support logging, monitoring, and endpoint/server hardening initiatives
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Maintain documentation for change management, system configurations, and operational procedures

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain scripts and integrations to automate operational tasks
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce manual effort, and standardize processes
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge base improvements

Support & Collaboration

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues across infrastructure and enterprise applications
  • Serve as escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 technical teams
  • Coordinate with vendors for support and system upgrades
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration within a mid-to-large enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem + cloud)
  • Experience with enterprise applications

Technical Skills

  • Windows Server administration
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware and Hyper-V preferred)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS and Azure)
  • Identity & access management concepts (SSO, MFA, RBAC)
  • Backup and disaster recovery technologies
  • Strong understanding of change management and incident response processes
