About This Position

Summary:

Under the direction of the Shipping Clerk, the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of warehouse activities to include efficient preparation of product for shipment, placement and organization of product in the warehouse and creating and verifying shipping and receiving records.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull and assemble customer orders per pick tickets for shipment.
  • Call in trucking firms and enter information into customer websites when necessary.
  • Put finished goods into warehouse locations
  • Manage the finished good inventory.
  • Receive incoming shipments and handle necessary paperwork.
  • Load trucks that arrive for pick up and unload trucks that arrive with deliveries utilizing pallet jack and forklift.
  • Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of stock control, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy.
  • Familiarity with bill of lading, packing slips, and documentation requirements.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, warehouse management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Awareness of inspection processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Ability to verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of goods accurately.
  • Efficiently manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks.
  • Clear verbal and written communication with internal teams and external carriers.
  • Ability to resolve discrepancies in shipments or documentation quickly.
  • Accurate input of shipping and receiving data into systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Amount of contact with others:

100%; Frequent contact with those outside of department.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6am-3pm. With occasional overtime on weekends as needed.
