Job Description

The Engagement Manager is responsible for leading key HR functions that support employee engagement and culture. This role oversees the company’s annual benefits enrollment, performance review, and merit processes. The manager also serves as the primary advocate for the company on employment policies, workers’ compensation, and unemployment matters. By driving these initiatives, the Engagement Manager strengthens the organization’s talent strategy and fosters a thriving workplace culture.   • Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Benefits – Steer medical, dental, and vision open enrollment process and communication with HR Director support
  • Life and EAP – Organize and communicate life insurance plan and Guardian benefits
  • 401k and HSA – Organize and communicate 401k program and Health Savings Account benefits
  • Helping Hearts – Organize and communicate Helping Hearts program and charitable donations
  • Policies – Create, organize, deploy, revise, and ensure policies align with company needs and holds people accountable
  • Worker’s Compensation – Oversees the management of unemployment process by directors or department heads
  • Unemployment – Oversees the management of unemployment process by directors or department heads
  • Recognition – Annually create calendar, review current recognition standards, lead engagement survey
  • Rewards – Annually review current recognition and rewards program, survey employees for feedback
  • Annual Reviews Process – Create, deploy, ensure to liaison to the process, and use results for training plans
  • Annual Merit Plan – Works with HR Director to ensure scoring is fair and aligns with merit budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of progressive leadership experience developing and implementing employee solutions
  • Experience with employee relations and leading functions the align with and deliver company results
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business needs into performance improvement strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate programs with strong project management skills
  • Proven diplomacy and the ability to be a problem solver within a team environment
