About the Role
Bohler’s DC office is seeking a Project Engineer who’s ready to take the next step in technical and professional growth. You’ll lead aspects of site design, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to project delivery across diverse commercial, residential, and industrial projects in the DC metro area. What You’ll Do
  • Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems for complex projects.
  • Analyze zoning regulations, site conditions, and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
  • Perform stormwater management and hydrology calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive design packages.
  • Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist in technical training and quality review.
  • Support client communication, permitting efforts, and coordination with review agencies.

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater management design software.
  • Strong understanding of local zoning, site development processes, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.
