Overview:
The Housekeeping Attendant role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all Club public areas and hotel rooms while greeting and assisting members and guests in a positive, welcoming and professional manner. The Room Attendant will anticipate guests’ needs and manage all requests with a sense of urgency. They will also maintain a proactive approach to solving any guest’s questions or problems and to provide a farewell to members and guests, using their name, encourage a return to the club.
Responsibilities
- Consistently following the Club’s Housekeeping procedures and standards
- Thoroughly clean guest rooms and public Club areas including: mopping, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, and attending the member locker rooms
- Complete assigned turn-down rooms ensuring evening housekeeping service for hotel guests
- Maintaining all equipment, tools, and supplies while following all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department and County health department
- Complete any special projects that might be assigned
- Working as a team, effectively communicating with management, housekeeping team, and all other departments in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other Associates
- Ensure that club, guest, and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
- Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members
- Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
- Follows grooming and uniform standards established for this role
- Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers
- Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
- Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous hotel or club housekeeping room attendant experience in luxury setting preferred
- Requires strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions well, make quick decisions, and keep organized while under pressure
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion.
- Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.
