About This Position

Description:

Program: Valley Access | Adult Outpatient Services

Pay: Calculated based on years of licensed experience

  • Fully Licensed | Range starts at $70,200 annually
  • Under-Licensed | Range starts at $65,021 annually (supervision is provided by Valley at no cost to you!)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9am – 5pm

*In person preferred/Hybrid schedule optional

Job Summary

The Intake Therapist conducts intake assessments and ASAM's for Valley's Adult Outpatient programs (mental health, behavioral health and/or SUD. Some clients may be court ordered). The Therapist collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to prioritize client care and achieve treatment objectives. The Therapist ensures compliance with ethical standards, participates in professional development, and maintains timely documentation.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct intake assessments and ASAMs for incoming clients with our Adult Outpatient programs (mental health, SUD, court ordered)
  • Directs clients’ care by developing, implementing, and managing personalized care plans with specific treatment goals and objectives for each client
  • Follows agency documentation policies for all phases of treatment, including assessments, care plans, treatment transitions and discharge plans, and client care
  • Collaborates with internal and external multidisciplinary teams regarding clinical aspects of treatment
  • Adheres to ethical and legal standards set by licensing boards and state regulations
  • Meets direct care expectations
  • Participates in ongoing professional development activities to meet licensure, certification, and/or other agency requirements
Requirements:

Education/Licenses

  • Master’s degree - Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
  • ACMHC, AMFT, CSW, licensure in the State of Utah
  • CMHC, LMFT, LCSW licensure in the State of Utah
  • Valley de-escalation certification (provided)

Experience

  • None

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience treating adults with SUD and/or mental health disorders
