About the Role:

The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the organization. This position is responsible for tracking inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly recorded and accounted for, and facilitating the smooth operation of warehouse activities. The Inventory Clerk will utilize various tools and systems to manage inventory data, ensuring that all items are easily accessible and organized. By adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures, the Inventory Clerk contributes to a safe and productive work environment. Ultimately, this role supports the overall supply chain process, ensuring that products are available when needed and minimizing discrepancies in inventory records.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional technical training or certification in automotive technology preferred.
  • Experience with safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics and ability to calculate figures and amounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to assess the condition of individual parts.
  • Parts Evaluation: Identify and evaluate which parts are functional, which need repairs, and which are beyond use
  • Inventory Categorization: Determine which parts should be inventoried based on their condition and usability.
  • Grading: Assign grades to parts based on their condition utilizing a part grading standard in the used automotive parts industry.
  • Photo vehicles with accuracy and clarity, creating a photo dictionary of the vehicle.
  • Enter parts into our inventory management system utilizing tables or computers.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed reports on findings to management and other relevant departments.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with industry safety standards and regulations.

Skills:

  • Experience: Previous experience in automotive inspection or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to accurately assess the condition of parts.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain detailed records and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
