Summary:

The Sanitor is responsible for following proper procedures & specifications while cleaning industrialized equipment to ensure food safety.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of the plant, including but not limited to: floors, walls, ceilings, overhead pipes and fixtures as well as the equipment used in the preparation/packaging/transfer of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for properly weighing waste and recording it correctly at the end of each shift, per company specifications.
  • Must pick up all reusable scrap for salvage and properly store it in appropriate containers.
  • Must pick up all trash inside/outside of the plant, emptying wastebaskets and empty/clean outside ashtrays.
  • Comply with all company policies, rules & regulations regarding safety, personal hygiene (GMP’s), operational methods and food safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all contacts
  • Accept and adapt easily to change
  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with Company Mission Statement
  • Operate job-related equipment with or without an accommodation

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred and/or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1 - 3 months related experience and/or training is preferred
  • Bakery experience is a plus
