About This Position
The Freight Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the movement of inbound and outbound freight, coordinating with carriers and suppliers, and ensuring that all shipments are handled accurately, cost-effectively, and on schedule. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for optimizing logistics processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Regularly required to sit, type, talk and read. Prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and bending Must be able to pass criminal background check, pre-placement health appraisal, and drug screening.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight shipments to ensure timely and efficient processing
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and external carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Track and monitor shipment statuses using logistics software and systems
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Resolve issues related to freight discrepancies, damages, or delays promptly
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics activities
Education Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in logistics coordination
Skill Requirements
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams) with the ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
