Part-time Housekeeping Attendant at Calendar Holdings – New Braunfels, Texas

General Purpose:

Perform housekeeping and general maintenance services by keeping assigned areas clean, safe, and secure.

Essential Functions:

Daily Sanitation

• vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors
• Empty trash and recycling
• Sanitize restroom areas by disinfecting toilets, sinks, and counter-tops
• Wash general window area, both inside and outside

Periodic Housekeeping Duties

• Carpet cleaning
• Floor waxing
• Light maintenance
• Notify Distribution Administrative Assistant when trash, or cardboard compactors, are full and in need of a pick-up

Safety/Security/Maintenance

• Report and remove safety hazards
• Understand and follow procedures to handle and store chemicals properly
• Identify and report the need for major repairs to management
• Assist in helping monitor building security and safety (locker doors and scissor gates)
• Identify and report blocked fire extinguishers and exits

Grounds Keeping

• Maintain general outside premises by picking up trash and emptying outside trash containers

• General knowledge of housekeeping
• Keen sense of observation and meticulous work ethic. Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
• Must have a current Texas Driver License and must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to run power equipment (sweeper, slow speed buffer, high speed buffer, carpet cleaning equipment)
• Ability and willingness to work indoors & outdoors in varying degrees of temperatures and weather conditions
