Room Attendant at Zachry – San Antonio, Texas

Position Purpose

To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation to ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience for guests.

What You'll Do

Guest Room Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean and sanitize all surfaces in guest rooms and bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers/tubs, floors, and high-touch items such as remote controls and doorknobs.
• Strip used beds, change bed linens, and replace used towels and bathmats with clean, fresh items.
• Dust all furniture, fixtures, and surfaces and vacuum or mop floors to remove dirt and debris.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
• Replenish in-room supplies including toiletries, tissues, coffee, water, and minibar items.

Guest Service & Safety

• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, amenities, or other housekeeping needs.
• Work with discretion and respect guest privacy, especially when servicing occupied rooms or observing “Do Not Disturb” signage.
• Notice and immediately report any maintenance concerns such as leaks, broken furniture, or faulty lighting.
• Document and turn in all lost-and-found items discovered in guest rooms or public areas.

Operational Support

• Organize and fully stock the housekeeping cart with necessary cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities for each shift.
• Assist with linen collection, sorting, and preparation as needed to support laundry operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; reliable attendance is an essential function of the role.

• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency or unsafe conditions.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, agents, and the operation of commercial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain clean, hazard-free work areas.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage and complete assigned rooms efficiently.
