Job Overview:
Under the supervision of a Department of Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor or Manager, the Cook Helper completes tasks as outlined in the job flow for the daily position assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Knowledge of food production, service and sanitation required
- Prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility.
- Position may require you to work every other weekend depending on the department’s needs.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary Degree or Certification. Serv Safe Certified
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Knowledge of food production, service and sanitation required
Scheduling Requirements
- Shift: Evening
- Status: Per Diem
- Hours: Scheduled to work based on department needs.
Essential Functions:
- Complete tasks as outlined in the job flow for daily position assigned
- Retrieve, prep and prepare items according to the daily production sheets and recipes.
- Follow all HACCP guidelines for food and physical safety.
