About This Position
ACO Advanced Resilience is seeking experienced Zero Trust Engineer candidates to provide on-site support to the Advanced Resilience portfolio in the area of next-generation classified network development for enterprise-scale computing and operational functions.
Successful candidates will provide expert technical advice and guidance to the government on all aspects of enhancing resilience and survivability against sophisticated cyber and physical threats.
Candidates will support development of authenticated, secure connections from untrusted devices in an untrusted environment, using traditional ICAM, biometrics, and novel sensing of the environment. Going beyond traditional VPN connections, this service would authenticate the end device, the user, and the environment to allow for private communication in public environments. This would be implemented on endpoints of many form factors that enable general purpose clients to connect to decentralized services across a wide variety of transport types and levels of service.
The candidate will be responsible for coordinating meetings, assessing performer technical progress, projecting performer outcomes, and ensuring that project management best practices are followed by performers. The candidate will prepare and deliver technical reports, briefings, and presentations to government officials and technical stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise and experience in network engineering of DOD classified networks, notably the design, implementation, operations, and maintenance of enterprise, tactical, or expeditionary communications networks.
The candidate will evaluate emerging technologies, monitor development of novel solutions, and contribute to the development of resilient classified networks, services, endpoints, and architectures.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
•Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, network development, network security, and/or enterprise systems
•First-hand experience with research and/or development of secure platforms, security software for endpoints, and information security software systems
•Substantial experience with decentralized software services across a wide variety of transport types and levels of service.
•Substantial experience with private key encryption, authentication mechanisms, access control mechanisms, and endpoint security.
•Familiarity with security systems and services, concepts of Zero Trust, and continuous integrity
•Ability to work with little oversight to achieve team goals
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
•A high degree of initiative, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability
•Familiarity with general systems engineering principles for management of complex systems development.
Desired Qualifications:
•Experience with a wide variety of endpoint hardware and form factors (, Workstations, Servers, fixed, mobile, etc.)
•Experience with distributed services
•Experience with classified network certification and accreditation, including required DOD cybersecurity activities
•Experience with Clandestine or Covert Operations (Desired)
•Experience with Cyber Operations (Desired)
•Experience working with Special Access Programs (SAPs)/CAPs.
•Experience with Agile development methodologies.
