Maintenance Technician in Richmond, Virginia at Condair Operations, LLC

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. This role troubleshoots equipment issues, performs repairs, responds to breakdowns, and supports maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance as scheduled.
• Replace or repair worn or damaged parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Assist with equipment installations, repairs, and upgrades.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
• Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO and required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate equipment issues and maintenance needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to:

• Frequently required to walk, climb, or maintain balance.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly exposed to:

• Construction Environment with Dust and Noise when working in the field.
• General Warehouse Environment, not temperature controlled
• Airports, airplanes, and other places that are associated with travelling domestically and/or internationally
