Adjunct Faculty Counselors must be committed to using modern technology in the classroom.
Applications for adjunct faculty counselor positions are accepted continuously and entered into a candidate pool. Adjunct Counselors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year, depending on enrollment needs. If a need arises, applications in the pool are reviewed and the Department reaches out directly to candidates. Where applicable, adjuncts are required to maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications.
Candidates who do not have legal residence in the State of Michigan will become Edustaff employees. Employment offers, salary, and benefits are provided by Edustaff, not OCC (Oakland Community College).

Primary responsibility will be to provide counseling services on a part-time basis to new and returning students.
The duties may include educational, career and personal counseling; development of educational plans; making referrals to on campus/ off campus resources.
- Master's degree in Counseling with a current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or a current LLPC (Limited Licensed Professional Counselor) in the State of Michigan within two (2) years of date of hire
- Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred
- Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment
- Online counseling experience preferred
