About This Position
Come join a fast-paced, growing co-manufacturer of high-quality food snacks. As an Associate Bakery Scientist, you will work with a team of highly qualified, specialty-trained R&D food scientists.
What you will be responsible for:
· Managing the inventory at R&D facility in Woodridge, IL
· Overseeing the organization of the lab and the supporting documentation for trials
· Assisting with gathering and analyzing analytical data from plant trials and generating reports
· Supporting both benchtop and plant trial activities
· Providing additional support to team members in the research and development of new products
Education and experience
· Bachelor of Science in Food Science or General Science discipline. Bakery knowledge is preferred
· 0-3 years of related experience, prior experience in a lab setting a plus
· Flexibility to travel between multiple locations ranging from Northlake, IL to Woodridge, IL
· Must be detail oriented and proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Excellent organizational and communication skills as well as the ability to interact and collaborate successfully with all levels and functional areas
· Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
