Maintenance Mechanic

Shift: Monday - Friday, Saturday as scheduled; 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, $2,000 Starting Bonus

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our high-performance team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our production lines running smoothly, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and efficiency. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your skills will be valued and rewarded.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Training held in the Detroit Eastern Market Facility
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, including pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, and control panels.
• Lead or assist in the launch and maintenance of new production lines, utilizing your mechanical expertise to ensure flawless execution.
• Execute continuous improvement projects to boost production efficiency and equipment reliability.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, ensuring tools and work areas are always organized and compliant with safety regulations.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial machinery repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills for equipment like packaging machines, motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to perform both preventative and predictive maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical and electrical schematics, as well as hydraulic prints.
• Experience with welding and finishing (a plus).
• Prior experience in the food industry (a strong advantage).
