  • Lead or contribute to contract renegotiations and new partnership negotiations, including recommendations regarding governance structures and execution terms.

  • Develop deep knowledge of partner organizations, leadership, strategies, financials, and priorities, serving as an internal subject-matter expert on key partners.

  • Participate in alliance-management forums to review progress, address challenges, exchange best practices, and strengthen organizational capabilities.

  • Represent the organization at relevant external partnering and alliance-management events.

  • Hire, lead, and develop alliance-management professionals as business needs evolve.

Requirements:
  • 14+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industry, preferably in commercial, business development, project leadership, or project management environments.

  • 10+ years of dedicated alliance-management experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in drug development and participation in development and life-cycle-management project teams.

  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MS, MBA, or MD in a relevant scientific or business discipline is desirable.

  • Strong ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve complex partnership and project issues.

  • Excellent project-management capabilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to coordinate diverse internal and external stakeholders, reconcile competing demands, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, financial, and business judgment, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable recommendations.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-management skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with senior executives and external partners.

  • Collaborative, inclusive, proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
