THE OPPORTUNITY
BGF Industries is seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Manager to coordinate and strengthen the company’s internal and external financial reporting, financial planning, and internal control processes. This highly visible role partners with senior leadership and plant accounting teams while leading key corporate accounting activities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and coordinate strategic planning, operating plans, budgets, and forecasts across both sites.
- Lead the month-end close process and deliver timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Translate financial results into meaningful insights for senior management, including variance analysis, program performance, headcount tracking, and SG&A spending.
- Direct corporate general accounting activities and monitor plant-level accounting processes.
- Supervise general accounting personnel responsible for fixed assets, inventory control, and general accounting.
- Prepare and analyze internal monthly financial reports and support SEC reporting requirements.
- Monitor financial information required by loan agreements and support financial aspects of company benefit plans.
- Assist with corporate tax policies, federal and state tax filings, estimates, extensions, annual reports, 1099s, and W-2 reporting.
- Serve as a primary contact for external auditors and IRS auditors.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- CPA certification required.
- SEC reporting experience required.
- Public accounting experience required.
- Manufacturing and supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with a large accounting firm preferred.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and financial reporting skills.
