Lead, Transfer in San Bernardino, California at Hybrid Promtions LLC

The Lead, Transfer supports daily production in the Transfer Department, with a primary focus on operating Sakurai screen-printing presses to produce high-quality transfers. This position provides hands-on leadership to the production team, helps coordinate workflow, monitors quality and productivity, and ensures work is completed safely and on schedule.

This is a full-time, non-exempt role, working second shift from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in scheduling and reporting by planning and organizing work schedules to ensure jobs are assigned correctly and efficiently.
• Identify excellent performers and those requiring improvement to the attention of management.
• Responsible for coordinating unloading/loading of inbound/outbound shipments in accordance with procedures, and ensure inventory controls are maintained.
• Ensure warehouse workload assigned through safe, efficient, cost effective and accurate handling of customer products and orders.
• Responsible for quality of executed orders and physical audits.
• Provide support to team involving first-level issue resolution such as: product damage, quality and safety issues.
• Provide support to the Supervisor and Production Coordinator.
• Lead employees’ workload/assignments on a team basis.
• Ability to cover shift responsibilities in absence of others.
• Perform job functions of an Operator as needed or directed by the Supervisor either on the Sakurai or Screen Print Carousel.
• Provide other services such as housekeeping activities, 5 S, Pick/Pack functions as directed by Supervisor.
• Provide hands-on training for associates in all tasks in the department or functional area. Onboard and train temps as needed.
• Responsible for safety, sanitation and security through awareness programs, meetings, inspections and preventative measures.
• Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor in a timely, accurate manner.
• Assist in performing physical inventories or cycle counts if required.
• Responsible for reports / metrics to management outlining results of these essential functions.
• Apply a continuous improvement mindset to improve business process, increase proficiency and increase efficiency through waste elimination.
• Apply the 5S Lean methodology to sustain a safe, clean and orderly facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• 1-2 years lead warehouse or related elevated or progressive work experience required.
• Adaptability to a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Knowledge of a Screen Print operation is preferred but not required.
