This is a hands-on role with global exposure, offering the opportunity to work across multiple jurisdictions and contribute to tax-related projects and process improvements. You will play an important role in ensuring Kpler’s tax requirements are managed accurately and efficiently, while supporting the wider Finance organisation and helping to identify potential tax risks.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, organised and comfortable working with financial data, external advisors and stakeholders across the business. You will be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and communicate tax matters clearly to both tax and non-tax audiences.
- Prepare tax analyses, calculations and supporting schedules for corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax and other relevant tax matters across the Group.
- Prepare and update tax projections, forecasts and tax-related reporting, working closely with Finance teams to gather and validate the required information.
- Perform tax walkthroughs and reviews to identify potential tax risks, inconsistencies and areas requiring further investigation, escalating findings where appropriate.
- Coordinate day-to-day tax compliance activities with external advisors and local Finance teams, including gathering information, tracking deliverables and reviewing outputs.
- Support the preparation and review of tax computations, tax returns and other tax deliverables prepared by external advisors, ensuring consistency with the Group’s tax position.
- Support transfer pricing activities, including calculations, analysis of intercompany transactions and coordination of supporting information and documentation.
- Research tax legislation and provide technical analysis on specific tax questions, summarising findings and potential implications for the Group Tax Manager.
- Support tax-related projects by preparing analysis and coordinating relevant tax workstreams.
- Maintain tax documentation, trackers, calendars and supporting files, ensuring key tax information and actions are accurate and up to date.
- Liaise with Finance, Accounting and external tax advisors on operational tax matters, following up on outstanding actions and deliverables.
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 / professional services firm or an in-house tax function within a multinational business.
- Practical experience in corporate tax, including tax computations, tax reviews, tax projections and financial analysis.
- Experience working with Finance teams and/or external tax advisors, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.
- Good understanding of corporate tax principles, with exposure to VAT/GST, withholding tax and other relevant tax matters.
- Exposure to transfer pricing and cross-border transactions, including intercompany arrangements and supporting documentation.
- Experience supporting tax compliance and reporting activities, with an understanding of the importance of accurate and timely deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research tax matters, assess information and identify potential risks.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data and tax-related information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain tax matters clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, Law or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional training or qualifications in taxation, accounting or finance.
- Experience working within an international or multinational group, preferably within a technology, SaaS or other fast-growing business.
- Further exposure to transfer pricing, withholding tax or VAT in a cross-border environment.
- Experience supporting tax audits, projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Professional tax or accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent.
- International tax, transfer pricing or VAT/indirect tax qualification or training.
