Roller Operator - 1st Shift in La Porte, Indiana at Solve IMG

B&B Manufacturing, LLC., a Solve IMG company, produces and distributes custom and standard synchronous drive products that include timing belts, timing belt pulleys, roller chain sprockets, gears and related parts for the power transmission and precision mechanical component industries. We supply distributors and manufacturers with thousands of various components.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Sr. Ops. Manager, the Roller Operator is responsible for pressing and checking componenets based on engineering and quality standards and that satisfy our customer’s requirements. Working in tandem with the Assemblers, the Operator will ensure proper production levels are met, while always maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively administer job plans and procedures
• Ability to operate & assist with best operating practices for use of MHE
• Utilize measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers
• Solid understanding of measurements, drawings and the corresponding application
• Produce high quality product, in line with the set hourly metrics
• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot assigned machine
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• 1+ year of machine operation work experience
• Ability to lift, push & pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to use basic hand tools
• Ability to use calipers and dial indicators.
