Job Description

Description:

Tetrasolv is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will lead filtration and treatment projects from scoping and design through installation, commissioning and closeout. The role delivers every project on time, within scope and within budget, while meeting water quality, regulatory and safety requirements.

As the central point of contact, the Project Manager coordinates engineering, procurement, field installation, service and the customer. They manage stakeholder expectations, control cost and schedule, and head off risks before they reach the job site.

Typical projects include municipal and industrial filtration systems, iron and manganese removal, arsenic and PFAS treatment, membrane and media filter installations, and upgrades or rebuilds of existing treatment plants.

Location: Home Office-based with regular travel to customer and project sites in the Central FL area.

Tetrasolv, a Veyra company, was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Anderson, IN. Tetrasolv has grown into a recognized leader in multimedia filters, liquid and vapor filtration systems, and activated carbon reactivation. In 2021, the company moved into a 230,000 sq. ft. ASME-certified fabrication facility capable of producing equipment from 55-gallon drum adsorbers to 14’ diameter carbon adsorbers and 40’ vapor boxes for large-scale air handling.

Key responsibilities

• Project planning and scoping: Define scope, objectives and deliverables with senior management, engineering and the customer. Turn design basis, water quality data and specifications into detailed project plans, timelines and milestones.

• Budget and resource management: Estimate labor, equipment, materials and subcontractor costs. Track spend against budget, manage change orders and keep resources allocated across concurrent projects.

• Procurement and equipment coordination: Work with procurement and vendors on long-lead items such as filter vessels, media, membranes, pumps, valves and controls. Review submittals and shop drawings, and track fabrication and delivery against the schedule.

• Team leadership and delegation: Assemble and direct cross-functional teams of engineers, field technicians, electricians and subcontractors. Assign responsibilities, mentor team members and keep collaboration strong between office and field.

• Field execution and commissioning: Oversee installation, startup and commissioning. Coordinate media loading, hydraulic and performance testing, and operator training before handover.

• Regulatory and safety compliance: Make sure projects meet EPA, state drinking water and wastewater requirements, NSF/ANSI 61 and AWWA standards, and permit conditions. Enforce OSHA site safety, including confined space and lockout/tagout practices.

• Risk management: Identify, assess and mitigate risks such as equipment delays, site conditions, raw water variability and permitting. Keep contingency plans ready so timelines are not disrupted.

• Stakeholder communication: Serve as the main point of contact for customers, consulting engineers, utilities and regulators. Run status meetings, prepare progress reports and align expectations with deliverables.

• Quality assurance and closure: Confirm treated water meets performance guarantees and quality targets. Deliver O&M manuals, as-builts and warranty documentation, and lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.

Requirements:

Required qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related technical field.

• Experience: 3–5+ years of project management on complex, multi-phase projects, with at least 2 years in water or wastewater treatment, filtration, or industrial process equipment.

• Technical knowledge: Working understanding of filtration and treatment processes (pressure and gravity filters, media, membranes, chemical feed), P&IDs and basic hydraulics.

• Methods and tools: Hands-on experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methods, and tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Asana or Trello.

• Core competencies: Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, time management and organizational skills.

• Travel: Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites, including occasional overnight stays.

• Field work outdoors in varied weather, around operating equipment and in confined spaces

• Must wear required PPE and be able to climb ladders and walk uneven terrain

• Occasional evening or weekend work around startups, shutdowns and customer schedules
