Job Description
Electrical Apprentices works alongside a licensed electrician to assist with the installation of residential electrical systems in new construction, remodels, and replacement projects. This position is designed to provide hands-on training while developing the technical skills and knowledge required to become a licensed electrician. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with residential electrical installations.
- Help install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, smoke detectors, breakers, and electrical panels.
- Pull wire, drill holes, mount boxes, bend conduit (when applicable), and prepare materials for installation.
- Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials needed for each job.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site before, during, and after installations.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
- Learn proper installation techniques and industry best practices under the direction of a licensed electrician.
- Accurately measure, cut, and prepare materials for installation.
- Assist with testing and verifying completed installations.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members while on job sites.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Attend company meetings, training sessions, and apprenticeship classes as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, and reaching.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
