Job Description

Social Media & Content Coordinator (Remote, Contract)

We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Content Coordinator to grow our brand presence, engage our community, and produce content that educates, entertains, and converts — across social, email, and YouTube.

Contract Details

  • August 2026 – January 2027
  • 10–15 hrs/week
  • $8–9/hour
  • This is a remote, international contractor position. Due to our current entity structure, we're only able to engage candidates who are based and authorized to work outside the United States at the time of contract. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where they currently reside, as we're unable to sponsor relocation or work authorization for this role.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, either 8:30–11:30am PST or 2–5pm PST
  • Reliable internet required (50 Mbps+)

What You'll Do

Content & Copy

  • Write engaging, on-brand copy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, blog, and email
  • Turn technical/industry topics into clear, reader-friendly content for homeowners, residents, and investors
  • Write monthly newsletters and drip campaign content with strong subject lines

Design & Video

  • Design social graphics, carousels, and reel covers in Canva using our brand kit
  • Create custom YouTube thumbnails and in-video graphics (titles, lower-thirds, callouts)
  • Edit long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips (Reels/Shorts) — footage assembly, pacing, captions

Social & Community

  • Maintain the weekly content calendar and build out posts/carousels
  • Research trending topics in property management, real estate, and homeownership
  • Respond to comments and proactively engage with local/partner accounts to build reach

Local SEO

  • Write and design weekly Google Business Profile posts and graphics for each of our 4 markets
  • Maintain GBP listings and upload fresh photos weekly
  • Support local search visibility using market-specific keywords

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Solid grasp of social media marketing, YouTube, and community engagement
  • Newsletter/email campaign experience
  • Canva proficiency (thumbnails, in-video graphics); video editing skills a plus
  • Bonus: background in property management, real estate, or service industries; familiarity with local SEO
  • Comfortable working independently and hitting recurring deadlines

Tools you may use: Canva, Descript, Metricool (or similar), ActiveCampaign/Constant Contact, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, Google Workspace
