JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Assembler

Reports to: Production Supervisor or Manager

Department: Production

Location: Breinigsville, PA

Shift: 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT

Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow details instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Produces doors by assembling parts and subassemblies
  • Conducts quality control checks
  • Use of a variety of tools and/or machinery to assemble products
  • Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions
  • Work with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products
  • Cleans and maintains a tidy work area and equipment, including tools
  • Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry
  • Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components of varying shapes and sizes
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Safety management mindset
  • Focus on quality
  • Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors

Education and Experience:

  • A high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
