Maintenance Technician/Millwright in South Bend, Indiana at Lerman Holding CO Inc

Essential Job Duties:

· Must be able to work on and understand hydraulic systems and be able to fabricate.

· Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the buildings, grounds and equipment.

· Demonstrated knowledge in the repair of large industrial equipment in industrial facilities.

· Must be able to make complex repairs to steel processing equipment and the have ability to lead others to completion of said repairs.

· Must be able to climb, work in elevated areas and work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications:

· Have a minimum of six (6) years of documented experience in related field.

· Pass the Mechanical Technician C test with a seventy percent (70%) overall score, forty two (42) out of sixty (60) questions.

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· No later than two (2) years of hire date, the Mechanical Technician C shall take the Millwright Journeyman test to become a Millwright B.

· Once the classification of Millwright B has been achieved, an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Maintenance must be obtained to become a Millwright A from approved academic provider.
