POSITION SUMMARY

The YWCA NSRCC Program Director provides supervision to the Lynn site staff and volunteer advocates within the service area of 29 cities and towns. This position oversees outreach and engagement with schools, medical communities, legal communities, etc within the service area. The program director is responsible for creating, overseeing, and marketing professional and educational trainings alongside staff in meeting the needs of the community. The program director is responsible for volunteer management efforts including volunteer recruitment, volunteer retention and recognition; the planning, facilitation, and maintenance of initial and ongoing training.

The program director is also responsible for providing direct service on an as-needed basis including individual counseling, group counseling, medical accompaniment, police/legal accompaniment, and participating on the hotline and medical advocacy rotation. This includes conducting intakes, safety assessments, safety planning, and providing case management.

Requirements:

Must Have

· M.A. or M.S. Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of experience and education; Four years supervisory experience.

· Four years of experience providing services to survivors including two years in a DV/SA Association

· Completion of the Association's 40 hour DV/SA counselor training, or equivalent, and a strong desire to work with survivors – survivors are encouraged to apply

· Commitment to respecting individual differences and serving diverse populations

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills and an ability to inspire a team

· Experience designing and implementing effective systems and procedures

· Experience and knowledge in local community service agencies

· Experience using standard computer software to improve operational efficiency

· Comfort in learning new computer software

· Access to reliable transportation

· Valid driver's license

· Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
