GIS Support Professional in Rockville, Maryland at Educology Solutions

SUMMARY

We are seeking one GIS Support Professional to assist our customer's GIS program
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining GIS data, supporting GIS applications, and performing routine GIS maintenance activities to support the Department's GIS infrastructure and technology initiatives

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties for this position may include, but are not limited to
Editing, maintaining, and validating GIS datasets.
Performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on spatial and attribute data.
Assisting with data cleanup, standardization, and documentation.
Updating web maps, feature services, and existing GIS applications.
Assisting with testing GIS applications following software updates or configuration changes.
Supporting routine GIS maintenance activities and special GIS projects as assigned.
Assisting with GIS data preparation, map production, and spatial analysis for public safety operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates will be evaluated based on the following qualifications and experience
Experience using ArcGIS Pro and other Esri ArcGIS applications.
Experience in GIS data editing and maintenance.
QA/QC experience.
Understanding of geodatabases.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

Required: Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
