Job Description
Position Title: Content Developer/Copywriter
Duration: 12-month base period with three 12-month option periods
Work Location: Primarily Remote

KeenLogic is seeking a creative and experienced Content Developer/Copywriter to support the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Verification Division (VER). This position will develop clear, compelling, and audience-focused content supporting USCIS strategic communications, outreach campaigns, and program objectives. The Content Developer/Copywriter will research, write, edit, and proofread communications materials for internal and external audiences across digital, web, social media, email, print, and other outreach channels.
This is a primarily remote position supporting USCIS Headquarters, 5900 Capital Gateway Drive, Camp Springs, MD 20588. Contractor personnel may work remotely; however, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) may request in-person meetings or engagements as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for government clearances.
5+ years of demonstrated experience writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for marketing and communications materials intended for external audiences.
BS/BA in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
Responsibilities:
Research, write, edit, and proofread communications and outreach materials.
Develop fact sheets, articles, blogs, announcements, guidance, talking points, how-to materials, FAQs, speeches, letters, and web content.
Create social media copy and other digital communications content.
Develop content appropriate for different audiences, formats, and communication channels.
Apply plain-language principles to written communications.
Ensure written materials are accurate and free from typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors.
Support development of promotional materials, outreach campaigns, and communications initiatives.
Assist with scripts and written content for multimedia projects.
Collaborate with graphic designers, digital communications specialists, outreach specialists, and other communications personnel.
