About The Position

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the day-to-day product direction for our Supplier Integrations and Material Ordering team, an important part of the AccuLynx platform that helps contractors purchase and manage billions of dollars in building materials each year.

This team sits at the intersection of contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, estimating, pricing, ordering, and production. The Product Owner will develop a deep understanding of how materials move through the roofing and exterior construction industry and use that knowledge to continuously improve the products and integrations that connect these workflows.

This is not simply a backlog management position.

The Product Owner is expected to become a domain expert in material ordering and supplier integrations. You will understand our customers, their workflows, our supplier partners, our existing products, and the problems our team is trying to solve.

Working closely with the Director of Product, Design, Engineering, customers, and supplier partners, you will help identify opportunities, define solutions, prioritize work, and translate product strategy into clear, actionable work for the team.

You will own the team's backlog and day-to-day product decisions while helping to determine whether what we build actually solves customer problems and delivers the outcomes we expected.

The Product Owner position is hybrid and reports to one of our Directors of Product.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep expertise in AccuLynx's material ordering, supplier integrations, and related contractor workflows.
  • Understand how customers and suppliers work together and identify opportunities to make purchasing and managing materials simpler and more efficient.
  • Work with the Director of Product to translate product strategy and business objectives into clear priorities for the team.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, business priorities, product strategy, and technical considerations.
  • Identify customer problems and opportunities through customer conversations, product data, supplier feedback, support trends, and product usage.
  • Translate problems and opportunities into clear requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design throughout discovery, development, launch, and iteration, providing clear context around what we are building and why.
  • Make day-to-day product decisions, resolve ambiguity, and balance customer needs, supplier requirements, business priorities, and technical constraints.
  • Own the overall health and experience of supplier integrations, including ordering, pricing, changes, fulfillment, reliability, and the exchange of information between systems.
  • Measure product performance and customer outcomes, identify risks and opportunities, and clearly communicate priorities, progress, and results to Product leadership and stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, software delivery, business analysis, or a closely related role.
  • Experience working with SaaS products and agile software development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business workflows and translate them into simple product experiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to turn partial, conflicting, or ambiguous information into clear decisions and actionable product work.
  • Experience creating product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong understanding of prioritization and the ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and product strategy.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and discussing APIs, integrations, data flows, system behavior, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable talking directly with customers and partners and asking questions that uncover the actual problem behind a request.
  • Organized and disciplined while remaining comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and information can change.
  • Curious by nature and motivated to understand how businesses and systems actually work.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for the products and outcomes your team delivers.
AI & Emerging Technology
  • Comfortable using AI tools in your own daily work to research, analyze information, develop requirements, summarize customer feedback, and work more efficiently.
  • Working understanding of generative AI, AI agents, and agentic workflows, including how agents can use software, data, and tools to complete work on a user's behalf.
  • Ability to recognize customer workflows where AI or agents could reduce manual work, improve decision-making, or help customers operate more efficiently.
  • Understand the difference between traditional software automation and agentic systems that can interpret context, make decisions, and take actions within defined boundaries.
  • Curious about how AI is changing the way customers interact with software and willing to continuously learn and apply that understanding to product decisions.

Bonus points if you have...

  • Experience with B2B SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with APIs, third-party integrations, EDI, e-commerce, procurement, or transactional software.
  • Experience with construction technology, building materials, distribution, supply chain, or supplier systems.
  • Experience building products involving catalogs, pricing, purchasing, order management, fulfillment, or financial transactions.
  • Technical background or experience working closely with integration-heavy engineering teams.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer, business analyst, product designer, or technical product owner.

Not sure if you qualify?

Apply anyway! We extend opportunities to a broad array of candidates, including those with diverse work experiences and backgrounds. Whether you’re returning to work, transitioning into a new role, or growing into enterprise-facing leadership, we are excited to connect with you.
