Clinical Research Patient Recruiter

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Research Patient Recruiter based in the United States.

The Clinical Research Patient Recruiter plays a key role in connecting potential participants with relevant clinical research opportunities.
You’ll support patient recruitment across active and upcoming studies by reviewing records, conducting pre-screenings, and engaging directly with potential participants.
The role combines patient communication, clinical research knowledge, database management, and recruitment marketing.
You’ll help ensure potential subjects are appropriately matched to studies based on protocols and eligibility criteria.
The position offers a collaborative, people-focused environment where strong communication and organization directly contribute to successful research programs.
You’ll also contribute to recruitment campaigns through social media, email, flyers, and other approved materials.

Accountabilities
  • Review study protocols and develop a strong understanding of inclusion and exclusion criteria, diagnoses, medical terminology, and medication histories.
  • Pre-screen patient records to determine eligibility and support appropriate placement into clinical studies.
  • Match potential subjects with active or upcoming research studies based on their needs and study requirements.
  • Conduct outbound recruitment calls, respond to inbound patient inquiries, and schedule research appointments.
  • Build rapport with potential participants and provide a professional, supportive, and patient-focused experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Accurately enter and maintain potential subject information, recruitment status, screening outcomes, medical histories, and medication information in the clinical research database.
  • Track and identify trends related to patient acceptance, interest, or disapproval of clinical trial participation.
  • Create and schedule IRB-approved social media posts and mass emails promoting active research studies.
  • Develop recruitment materials such as flyers, brochures, and other study-related communications.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling patient and medical information.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required to support recruitment and research operations.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in clinical research patient recruitment is required.
  • High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with patients by phone.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and X for recruitment or outreach purposes.
  • Familiarity with simple graphic design tools such as Canva.
  • Ability to understand and apply clinical study protocols, eligibility criteria, medical terminology, and medication information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish-speaking capabilities are preferred.
