This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President Electronics Manufacturing based in the United States.

This is a senior enterprise leadership opportunity focused on shaping the future of global electronics manufacturing across a complex portfolio of lighting and controls solutions. You will define strategies that connect product innovation, engineering, sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing to support scalable growth. The role combines long-term strategic planning with hands-on transformation, standardization, quality, and operational excellence. You will lead initiatives spanning NPI, manufacturing engineering, supplier integration, automation, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. As a global leader, you will influence executive stakeholders and guide teams through significant organizational and technological change. The position offers the opportunity to build a future-ready electronics ecosystem while improving cost, quality, speed, reliability, and resilience. The role can be based anywhere in the United States and requires approximately 25–50% travel.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute a global electronics manufacturing strategy aligned with business growth, product roadmaps, sustainability objectives, and evolving technology requirements.
  • Establish long-term manufacturing footprint, automation, platform, and sourcing strategies, including make-versus-buy decisions and responses to geopolitical and tariff considerations.
  • Create scalable manufacturing systems by standardizing engineering practices, design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly disciplines, system architecture, thermal design, modularity, governance, and digital tools.
  • Lead global electronics quality, compliance, reliability, validation, testing, and lifecycle management initiatives, using field performance and continuous improvement to strengthen product outcomes.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to accelerate new product introduction, ensuring manufacturability, platform-based architectures, supplier qualification, and production readiness are addressed early in the design process.
  • Own electronics cost structures, productivity roadmaps, margin improvement initiatives, capital expenditure strategies, and ROI-driven investment planning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global organization across electronics engineering, manufacturing engineering, supplier engineering, NPI, strategy, and operational excellence.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, supply chain, sourcing, and operations while influencing senior executives and navigating complex, global business environments.
  • Champion transformation and change management, moving manufacturing capabilities toward more standardized, digitally enabled, scalable, and future-ready operating models.
  • Foster innovation, accountability, technical excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Contribute to software and configuration integration into late-stage manufacturing environments and help develop capabilities that support flexible product customization.
  • Monitor and improve performance across quality, service, productivity, cost, speed, and reliability while maintaining a strong focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Travel approximately 25–50% to support global stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience, with extensive expertise in electronics manufacturing and a strong understanding of global supply chain ecosystems.
  • Significant experience leading electronics manufacturing strategy, transformation, operational excellence, and cost or supply chain initiatives at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronics manufacturing, including the integration of software or configuration capabilities into late-stage manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing strategy, supply chain, cost leadership, quality, service, productivity, and capital investment.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives and translate strategic objectives into effective operational execution.
  • Exceptional executive presence and cross-functional influence, with the ability to align product, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing leaders around a common strategy.
  • Strong strategic communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical and manufacturing concepts into clear, actionable direction.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous, and globally distributed environments while driving meaningful change.
  • Outcome-driven and customer-focused mindset, with a consistent emphasis on quality, speed, cost, reliability, and business value.
  • Demonstrated talent-development and organizational leadership capabilities, including the ability to build high-performing teams and evolve organizational structures.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25–50% as required by the role.
  • Ability to frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or continuously exert a negligible amount of force to move objects.
Benefits:
  • Competitive executive-level compensation aligned with experience, qualifications, market conditions, and geographic location.
  • Opportunity to lead global electronics manufacturing strategy and transformation at enterprise scale.
  • Exposure to complex, international manufacturing, technology, supply chain, and product-development environments.
  • Significant influence over manufacturing footprint, automation, standardization, quality, NPI, cost, and productivity strategies.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a high-impact global organization and shape future-state manufacturing capabilities.
  • A role centered on innovation, operational excellence, strategic transformation, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Equal-opportunity workplace committed to diversity, inclusion, and fair consideration of qualified candidates.
  • Reasonable accommodations available throughout the application process for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans.
