Job Description

Location: Columbus, OH
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Salary Range: $20 to $26 per hour

As an HR Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in supporting employees and managers throughout the employee lifecycle while helping our HR department stay organized, responsive, and compliant. From recruiting and onboarding to maintaining employee records, your work will help create a positive and effective experience for our employees. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
• Keep HR information organized and accurate by maintaining electronic personnel files, records, and documentation while ensuring information is properly filed and up to date.
• Protect employee confidentiality by handling sensitive human resources information, files, and records with discretion, professionalism, and care.
• Support the full-cycle recruiting and onboarding process by coordinating job postings, pre-employment requirements, background checks, references, drug screenings, required documentation, orientation schedules, and equipment while helping new employees feel welcomed and prepared for a successful start.
• Keep employee information current by processing promotions, transfers, and other employee changes in the HRIS.
• Support HR compliance by conducting periodic file audits, ensuring required documentation is collected, and maintaining records in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Be a resource for employees and managers by responding to employment-related questions and helping connect people with the information and support they need.
• Keep communication moving by monitoring HR and recruiting inboxes and responding to inquiries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner.
• Support HR programs and events by assisting with benefits enrollment, organization-wide events, and special HR projects.
• Provide dependable administrative support to the HR department and contribute to projects and priorities that support the organization and its employees.
• Make a difference through your work by helping create an organized, responsive, and positive employee experience at every stage of the employment journey.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of human resources experience, including recruiting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact, professionalism, and discretion.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience with or ability to learn HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Working knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees, managers, applicants, and other members of the organization.
