AgBiTech is a global leader in sustainable agricultural solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Fort Worth, TX. Primary duties of the Maintenance Technician include providing safe and timely mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility support — including preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues across our production equipment and manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, well-rounded technician with broad mechanical and electrical experience, working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and a proven track record of keeping a busy industrial facility running smoothly. Requirements:Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on production and manufacturing equipment as well as general facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues throughout the facility
- Diagnose and repair basic electrical systems, motor controls, sensors, and related components
- Service and maintain HVAC systems (RTUs, split units) and associated subsystems for facility and production support
- Respond promptly to equipment and facility breakdowns and perform root cause analysis in a timely manner
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations
- Perform general building maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and minor plumbing repairs
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and safely operate material handling and lift equipment (e.g., forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial/boom lifts, conveyors) as needed
- Install, repair, overhaul, modify, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and parts used
- Comply with all safety procedures while maintaining good housekeeping and safe work areas
- Follow proper PPE and lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Work independently under limited supervision and manage time effectively across multiple priorities
- Independently plan, manage, and complete special projects and improvement initiatives with no supervision
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements
- Commitment to safe work practices and personal responsibility for preventing injury or illness from workplace hazards
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and plumbing schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong ability to retain knowledge of procedures and understand complex instructions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem solving
- Broad, hands-on working knowledge across multiple trades — mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Familiarity with general production-related equipment such as compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, motors, gearboxes, plumbing, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, and sensing equipment
- Able to safely operate a forklift, scissor lift, and aerial/boom lift; certifications a plus
- Team player who works effectively within a small maintenance team that is currently growing, with the flexibility to adapt as it expands
- Capable of completing tasks as instructed without immediate supervision and following up with supervisor as required
- High attention to detail — works accurately, carefully, and efficiently
- Organized, accountable, and self-motivated with a service-oriented mindset
- Desire to improve systems, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency
- Basic computer skills for maintaining work orders and maintenance records
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks and resolving issues
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency required
- Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment required; 10+ years strongly preferred
- HVAC, plumbing, and/or PLC experience a plus
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push, and pull tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs at times); ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods; comfortable working in varied environments, including confined spaces and at heights
