Job Description
SUMMARY: The Ambulance Billing/ Coding Associate is responsible and accountable for timely insurance billing, insurance follow-up and monitoring denials. Review and enter Ambulance charges and assign ICD-10 codes for ambulance accounts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1 year of customer service or insurance related experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification: National Academy of Professional Ambulance Coding Certificate preferred or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer and office equipment skills required. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate effectively in a team as well as independently, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships is required.
