Advertising Account Manager - Retail Media

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Advertising Account Manager - Retail Media based in the United States.

This role manages the planning, execution, and optimization of digital marketing and retail media campaigns across a portfolio of enterprise and strategic clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating business objectives into data-driven media strategies that deliver measurable performance. The position combines hands-on campaign management with client relationship ownership across major advertising platforms. You will collaborate with Client Success, Technical Account Management, Product, and other teams to deliver cohesive programs and actionable insights. The role also offers opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and scalable processes to improve efficiency and decision-making. This is a remote opportunity in a fast-paced environment where strong analytical, communication, and commercial skills directly contribute to client growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of enterprise and strategic client accounts, overseeing the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of digital and retail media campaigns.
  • Translate client objectives into actionable advertising strategies designed to improve performance and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize campaigns across major digital advertising and retail media platforms, managing budgets, bids, creatives, and performance.
  • Use platform expertise and available tools to optimize client programs and maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and decision-makers by providing regular reporting, performance insights, and recommendations for growth and improvement.
  • Create, present, and execute media strategies tailored to clients across different industries and product categories.
  • Partner with Client Success Managers, Technical Account Managers, Product teams, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-impact media programs.
  • Monitor digital marketing and retail media trends, advertising formats, platform developments, and industry best practices.
  • Educate clients on platform changes, emerging opportunities, and effective retail media and digital advertising practices.
  • Leverage AI, data, and automation to streamline workflows, accelerate analysis, improve decision-making, and scale client impact while maintaining appropriate quality and compliance standards.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, media buying, or ecommerce advertising.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic advertising plans with measurable improvements in client performance.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience managing advertising campaigns across major platforms such as Amazon Advertising, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Walmart Connect for multiple clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to use performance data to inform campaign and client strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights related to campaign performance, channel health, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence clients, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing advertising budgets and forecasts and making data-driven decisions to maximize efficiency and achieve performance targets.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across large teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong AI fluency, including experience using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, automation, documentation, communication, or workflow efficiency.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Agency experience and experience working in an agency or SaaS environment are strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, media buying, or ecommerce advertising is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, digital merchandising, and attribution models is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Benefits:

  • Base salary range of $65,000–$88,000 USD per year across U.S. locations, with final compensation based on factors including location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Discretionary bonus of 10% of annual base salary.
