Curb Slip Machine Operator in Union Grove, Wisconsin at Asphalt Contractors Inc

Job Description

Asphalt Contractors Inc. is looking for an experienced Curb Slip Machine Operator to join our construction team. This position is responsible for operating slipform curb equipment to place and finish concrete curb, gutter, and related concrete features on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects.

• Operate curb slipform machines safely and efficiently
• Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment during concrete placement
• Produce curb and gutter to required line, grade, elevation, and specifications
• Work with crew members to maintain proper concrete consistency and placement
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain a quality finished product
• Assist with stringline, layout, grade checks, and jobsite preparation
• Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of equipment
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate repair needs
• Assist with hand finishing, forming, cleanup, and other concrete work when needed
• Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite requirements
• Coordinate with foremen, laborers, drivers, and other equipment operators

• Previous experience operating a curb slipform machine preferred
• Experience with concrete curb and gutter construction strongly preferred
• Ability to understand grades, elevations, slopes, and construction layout
• Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing practices
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to make basic equipment adjustments
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform physical labor as needed
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work early mornings, extended hours, and Saturdays when required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a crew
