OASIS Coding & Review Specialist - PRN Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated healthcare professional to join our Live QA team. This position is responsible for reviewing OASIS documentation, clinical records, and ICD-10 coding to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to agency, state, and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and complete OASIS documentation and ICD-10 coding accurately and timely.
  • Meet established daily and monthly chart review quotas.
  • Ensure clinical documentation meets agency and regulatory standards.
  • Review clinical records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance, orientation, and training to clinicians regarding OASIS and documentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OASIS, coding, home health regulations, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Participate in Live QA training, continuing education, and Performance Improvement activities.
  • Assist with policy and procedure development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Live QA Program Manager, Director of Clinical Services, QAPI, and Clinical Educator/Preceptor.
  • Report documentation or clinical trends that may impact agency operations.
  • Work weekends as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing or Therapy program.
  • Florida RN or Physical Therapist license.
  • 3–5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Home health, OASIS, QA, clinical documentation, or coding experience.
  • Proficient with EMR/electronic documentation systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
  • Must complete required departmental competencies.
  • Must obtain HCS-D certification within one year of hire. The agency will pay for the first HCS-D examination; additional testing costs are the employee's responsibility if the first attempt is unsuccessful.
Work Environment

This is a remote position. Candidates must reside in Florida and hold an active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or Physical Therapist (PT) license.
