The Career – What You Will Do

Apothecary Products, LLC (APL) is seeking a talented Graphic Design Specialist to join our team in Burnsville, Minnesota! In this role, you will be accountable to produce digital marketing designs for Apothecary Products (APL) brands used in various e-commerce and media channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce engaging, creative digital imagery and infographics across APL’s brands used in various eCommerce platforms and media channels (i.e., social, email) according to style guides and brand standards.
  • Work with other Marketing team members to align visual creative across all print and digital platforms, including Amazon listings, websites, social media, and advertising.
  • Manage all creative aspects of assigned projects from start to finish ensuring project deliverables achieved and. deadlines met.
  • Proactively retrieve and organize all assets necessary to complete a project on time; able to identify requirements to execute tasks; secure artwork approval from internal stakeholders and external customers/vendors.
  • Create and update digital style guides and templates to translate APL’s brands across digital spaces.
  • Periodically refresh individual brands’ look and feel to incorporate product launches, seasonal updates, and web landing pages.
  • Oversee creation, development, and editing of engaging product and lifestyle photography using in-house equipment and external resources, when requested. May do photo retouching.
  • Manage the review, approval, and filing of created assets; own the management and storage of creative assets across shared folders and online platforms according to company standards
  • Periodically assist in updating/revising content of www.apothecaryproducts.com.
  • Periodically assist in the creation and production of print marketing materials including sell sheets, ads, coupons, and mailers; provide final print files and works with vendors to ensure precise deliverables.
  • Periodically assist with copywriting, copyediting, as needed.
  • Other duties as beneficial to the success of APL.

Competencies:

Education: 2-year associate degree in Graphic design, Digital Design, or related field

Work Experience: 2+ years of creative agency or in-house digital design experience with consumer goods and 2+ years e-commerce design experience

Critical skills and abilities:

  • Strength in layout, format, and design selections; typographic, photographic, illustrative, and graphic elements may be integrated into print and digital media
  • Experience using AI powered design and editing tools to create compelling video and infographic content.
  • Understanding of soft-proofing and digital asset management tools
  • Ability to render (i.e., edit, resize, export etc.) assets for specific application requirements.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design, and organize projects independently; willingness to take creative direction.
  • Ability to prioritize while handling multiple details and deadlines simultaneously
  • A proactive, highly adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can shift priorities quickly, and execute short-notice initiatives without compromising quality.
  • A strong sense of collaboration, willingness to share ideas and brainstorm concepts
  • Ability to work with a diverse team
  • Tactfully skilled in working with teams that are not designers - you can translate and articulate their requirements into a compelling design that meets their needs of our clients, while also staying true to design best practices
  • Manages own time effectively across multiple jobs adhering to production and project schedules
  • Good communications skills; possess the ability to explain design decisions to cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to quickly become proficient in APL’s technology systems
  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Indesign, including Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with Microsoft Office suite including Teams, video editing and Adobe Premier Pro a plus or must have ability to quickly learn.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and be open to feedback to improve individual performance
