Position Summary
The Training & Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, tracking, and maintaining the organization's employee training and onboarding programs. This position serves as the primary administrator for employee orientation, safety training, toolbox talks, training compliance, training records, and workforce development initiatives. The position works closely with department supervisors to ensure employees receive the training necessary to perform their jobs safely and effectively while supporting Human Resources and safety administrative functions.
Training & Workforce Development (Primary Responsibility)· Coordinate and administer new employee orientation programs.
· Conduct new hire onboarding and introductory training.
· Maintain company training matrices and employee training records.
· Schedule and coordinate required training sessions.
· Monitor training completion rates and compliance deadlines.
· Develop and coordinate monthly safety training topics.
· Prepare and distribute training materials and presentations.
· Develop weekly or monthly toolbox talks relevant to foundry and manufacturing operations.
· Track attendance and completion of safety training and toolbox talks.
· Assist in developing work instructions, SOPs, and job-specific training materials.
· Coordinate cross-training and workforce development initiatives.
Plant Floor Engagement & Employee Interaction· Routinely visit production departments to conduct and support employee training activities.
· Observe work practices to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
· Interact directly with employees, supervisors, and team leads at their workstations.
· Verify understanding and effectiveness of training through employee engagement and observation.
· Build positive working relationships with employees throughout the facility.
· Maintain visibility on the plant floor as a resource for training, onboarding, and employee development.
· Participate in facility walkthroughs, departmental meetings, and safety initiatives.
· Work comfortably in an active manufacturing environment while following all required PPE and safety procedures.
HR & Safety Administration· Maintain personnel files and HR databases.
· Assist with hourly payroll, benefits, and employee records administration.
· Coordinate job postings and applicant tracking activities.
· Schedule interviews and support recruiting activities.
· Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
· Maintain safety training records and documentation.
· Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and incident documentation.
· Track corrective actions and compliance activities.
· Support audit preparation and safety record management.
Requirements:Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience developing presentations, training materials, or instructional content preferred.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Must live within (50) miles of the facility.
