About the Role:
As a Press Brake Operator, you will safely bend and form metal sheets and plates to precise specifications. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings in a fast-paced, safety-first production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders with high accuracy.
- Review bills of materials to verify material types, thicknesses, and precise measurements.
- Inspect incoming material and finished parts to ensure rigid quality standards are met.
- Select, setup, and properly store tooling to maintain tool life and part quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area aligned with Super Steel’s 7S standards.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures, including basic preventive maintenance and equipment safety checks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of press brake experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of press brake operations, and experience using handheld and mechanical measuring tools.
- Math Skills: Solid foundational math skills, including fractions and measurement conversions.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently, collaborate with a team, and use basic computer systems (Microsoft Office preferred).
