• Ship code every week — this role is hands-on by design
• Lead architectural decisions across the stack — backend, frontend, infrastructure
• Review and shape every meaningful PR — set the bar the squad codes to
• Use AI tools daily — and push the squad to do the same
• Lift the engineering team's energy and quality by what you build, not what you say
• Help unify a fragmented platform into one product

NON-NEGOTIABLES

• You've led at the squad level and you still ship code daily
• AI writes the code in your daily workflow
• You're language-agnostic and comfortable across multiple clouds (AWS plus GCP or Azure)

IDEAL BUT FLEXIBLE

• B2B SaaS background at a startup or scale-up, where ownership is assumed
• Experience leading squads through ambiguity or rapid change
