About the Role:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This role involves managing network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and servers, to support seamless communication and data exchange across the enterprise. The Network Administrator will monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to maintain high availability and reliability. Additionally, the role requires enforcing network security protocols to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access. The successful candidate will collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to align network operations with business objectives and support remote access needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network administration with hands-on expertise in Cisco routers and firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange server administration.
- Experience with network security best practices and firewall management, specifically Cisco ASA.
- Familiarity with remote access technologies and server administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
- Experience managing Blackberry Enterprise Server or similar mobile device management platforms.
- Knowledge of advanced network monitoring tools and automation scripting.
- Experience working in a large enterprise or multi-site environment.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and hybrid network architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including Cisco routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, and other network devices.
- Administer Microsoft Exchange servers and ensure reliable email communication across the organization.
- Configure and support remote access solutions to enable secure connectivity for remote employees.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot connectivity issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce network security policies to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Perform regular server administration tasks including updates, backups, and system health checks.
- Support Blackberry device integration and management within the corporate network environment.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
