Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President of Development reports directly to the President Chief Development Officer of the Foundation and is responsible for overseeing and integrating Institutional Giving corporate, Childrens Miracle Network Hospital partners, special events, and organizational entities to ensure sustainable revenue growth and long term philanthropic success,

The AVP manages and mentors the Institutional Giving Development team, builds a high performing culture rooted in accountability and collaboration, and drives innovative fundraising strategies that expand the Foundations donor base and deepen engagement,

The AVP serves as a passionate advocate for childrens healthcare and an ambassador for the values and story of Childrens Specialized Hospital and Childrens Specialized Hospital Foundation, both internally and externally,

The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly motivated fundraising leader who excels at relationship building, cross functional collaboration, team management, revenue growth, and ethical philanthropic practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field required Masters preferred,
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive fundraising experience working with foundations, corporations, and events,
  • Experience developing and stewarding long term relationships with institutional funders and stakeholders,
  • Demonstrated project management experience with excellent attention to detail,

Essential Functions:

  • In partnership with the President Chief Development Officer, develop and execute a comprehensive, integrated fundraising strategy encompassing Institutional Giving and special events,
  • Help inform annual revenue goals and long term growth plans aligned with the Foundations strategic priorities,
  • Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities across corporate partnerships, foundations, sponsorships, grants, and events,
  • Provide data driven analysis and forecasting to inform budgeting, revenue tracking, and performance metrics,
  • Partner with Development Operations to ensure systems, reporting, and infrastructure support fundraising growth,
  • Oversee and manage a robust fundraising program to drive significant growth in corporate and institutional revenue,
  • Provide strategic direction for corporate engagement, sponsorship development, Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals CMNH partnerships, donor stewardship, and pipeline development,
  • Serve as liaison and relationship steward for corporate partners, ensuring alignment with CSHF CSH priorities,
  • Provide executive oversight of the CMN Hospitals program, including national partnerships, leadership engagement, and brand alignment,
  • Partner with Development Operations to strengthen donor segmentation, moves management, and prospect research,
  • Build and expand recognition societies and engagement initiatives to grow long term philanthropic investment,
  • Collaborate with staff to build and support event chairs and executive leadership committees to drive peer to peer fundraising and sponsorship growth,
  • Identify and engage corporate and community partners in third party fundraisers and service initiatives,
  • Collaborate with Development Operations to prepare proposals, budgets, financial reports, and internal external reporting materials,
  • Assume other duties as assigned to support organizational growth and mission advancement,
