Student Ambassadors are essential members of the Office of Admissions at Stephens College. They often serve as the first point of contact for prospective and incoming students and their families and play an important role in creating a welcoming and engaging Stephens experience.

With enthusiasm, leadership, and a passion for Stephens, Student Ambassadors help prospective and new students build connections, develop a sense of belonging, and discover all that the Stephens community has to offer.

This is a nine-month student leadership position with potential summer hours. The role offers valuable professional development and opportunities to take an active leadership role in campus tours, Admissions events, New Student Orientation, and other key college activities.

Key Responsibilities

Campus Tours
Serve as a campus tour guide for prospective students, families, and guests. Ambassadors will be scheduled to assist with weekday tours, typically offered at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., as well as occasional weekend tours and special visit events.

Student Engagement & Communication
Serve as a peer resource for prospective and incoming students, providing a welcoming student perspective, answering questions, and helping students feel connected to the Stephens community before and after arrival.

Office Support & Outreach
Support the Office of Admissions through activities such as:

  • Writing thank-you notes and follow-up communications
  • Conducting outreach to admitted students
  • Assisting with general office projects and responsibilities

Event Participation
Actively participate in college events such as Visit Days, Admissions Preview Days, STARt Days, New Student Orientation, Alumnae Weekend, and other special campus events.

Professional Development
Participate in training and development opportunities focused on leadership, communication, customer service, campus knowledge, and student support.

Eligibility & Application Process

  • Must be a full-time Stephens College student
  • Must complete an application and participate in an interview
  • Must be available for required training sessions and Orientation preparation
  • Must have availability for scheduled weekday office hours, campus tours, and Admissions events
  • Some evening and weekend availability may be required for special events
