Job Description
Job Summary:
The Payroll Clerk plays a critical role in supporting payroll operations by accurately and efficiently handling payroll processing tasks. This role involves maintaining payroll records, verifying employee information, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations, and addressing payroll-related inquiries. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with the Payroll Manager to maintain a smooth and accurate payroll process.
Responsibilities:
* Process payroll data, including timesheets, deductions, benefits, and other employee information, in accordance with company guidelines and payroll schedules.
* Verify accuracy of payroll data entries and resolve discrepancies to ensure error-free payroll processing.
* Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and management in a professional and timely manner.
* Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to address payroll-related issues and improve payroll processes.
* Assist in preparing payroll reports when needed.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll processing.
* Experience with Paychex preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Work Conditions:
* Office environment with standard working hours
* Onsite only; remote or hybrid not available
* Occasional extended hours during payroll deadlines may be required
