We are seeking one Front-End Software Engineer (ReactJS) for a full-time contract opportunity with FM Talent Source for one of our valued clients.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work with federal clients to design, develop, and deploy innovative web applications and AI-integrated user interfaces that address immediate mission challenges. You will be a key contributor on a cross-functional team of data scientists, backend developers, and subject matter experts, applying modern web development best practices to build intuitive, responsive, and robust applications.

The ideal candidate is a fast learner and rapid developer with a strong foundation in modern web architecture and demonstrable experience building production-ready frontend applications from concept to deployment. You should possess strong hands-on expertise in ReactJS and JavaScript/TypeScript, coupled with a deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems including Vite, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn, as well as a working knowledge of Python for seamless backend integration.

Responsibilities

A critical competency for this role is the ability to leverage agentic AI development tools (such as Claude Code, Antigravity, Kiro, etc.) to accelerate coding workflows, debug complex issues, and streamline the development lifecycle. In tandem, the candidate should have foundational AI knowledge and AWS experience, enabling them to seamlessly connect intelligent backend models to user-friendly frontend experiences that enhance our federal clients' operational effectiveness.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable, highly responsive user interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Implement modern, accessible, and maintainable styling and UI components utilizing Tailwind CSS, shadcn (or experience with other component libraries)
• Utilize Vite for rapid frontend tooling, building, and optimized application bundling.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate Python-based RESTful APIs and ML models into frontend applications.
• Incorporate agentic tools (e.g., Claude Code, Antigravity, Kiro) into daily development workflows to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment.
• Leverage AWS Services including S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, and others to deploy and manage frontend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities—such as chatbots, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) interfaces, and intelligent search—into web applications.
• Contribute to the team's software architecture design, ensuring frontend solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.
• Rapidly prototype UI/UX concepts and iterate on solutions for mission-critical challenges in areas such as data triage, operational decision-making, and automated discovery.

Qualifications:

Required

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum FIVE (5) years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on Front-End development. A master’s degree OR Industry Certification may be substituted for up to two years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience building Section 508 compliant and accessible user interfaces, with a strong understanding of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines and accessible rich internet applications (ARIA) standards.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on ReactJS for building complex, interactive, and accessible user interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend build tools and styling frameworks, specifically Vite, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/Radix UI, or other component libraries.
• Working knowledge of Python to effectively interface with backend APIs, ML models, and systems integration.
• Solid foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence concepts, with experience integrating AI/ML APIs, LLMs, or conversational agents into web applications.
• Proven experience deploying and managing frontend web applications using AWS services (S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of REST API design, state management, and modern UI/UX principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex mission needs into intuitive software solutions.

Preferred

• Experience with GenAI-assisted UI development and rapid prototyping using AI generation tools.
• Familiarity with building and optimizing frontends for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications or complex AI chatbots.
• Experience with AWS serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK).
• Experience designing UI/UX workflows that support human-in-the-loop review, case prioritization, and explainable AI outputs.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Playwright) within an AI-assisted CI/CD pipeline.

Compensation Range: The salary range provided is determined by market value, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. Offers will be extended within this range, though not all candidates will receive an offer at the uppe
