This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Identity Management Lead Developer based in India.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing, developing, and implementing enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions. You will take a leading role in the development and support of SailPoint IdentityIQ across a complex enterprise environment. The position combines architecture, development, integration, troubleshooting, and production support responsibilities. You will work closely with application owners, cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable IAM solutions. The role also provides opportunities to mentor developers, improve engineering practices, and drive automation and DevOps capabilities. This is a hybrid position based in Bengaluru, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on enterprise identity governance and security.
- Lead the design, development, configuration, implementation, integration, upgrade, and support of SailPoint IdentityIQ and related IAM technologies.
- Develop and maintain custom connectors, rules, workflows, lifecycle events, provisioning logic, forms, reports, tasks, transforms, and Java/BeanShell components.
- Lead enterprise application onboarding and integrations across platforms such as Workday, SAP, Active Directory, LDAP, ServiceNow, databases, REST/SOAP APIs, and cloud applications.
- Drive identity lifecycle management processes, including Joiner/Mover/Leaver, provisioning and deprovisioning, access requests, entitlement management, access reviews, and certifications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable IAM solutions through technical workshops and solution design activities.
- Provide technical leadership throughout requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, release management, and production support.
- Troubleshoot complex IAM, provisioning, connector, workflow, aggregation, integration, and performance issues, including Severity 1/2 incidents.
- Lead root-cause analysis and problem management initiatives to resolve recurring issues and reduce technical debt.
- Establish and promote development standards, secure coding practices, least-privilege principles, documentation standards, and SailPoint best practices.
- Support Git-based source control, CI/CD, automated builds and testing, deployment, and broader DevOps practices for the IAM environment.
- Review technical designs and code, mentor IAM developers, and provide guidance to distributed onsite/offshore development and implementation teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency across the IAM platform.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing Identity and Access Management solutions, with significant experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ.
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or Lead Implementer on enterprise-scale SailPoint IdentityIQ implementations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SailPoint IdentityIQ configuration, customization, development, integration, troubleshooting, upgrades, performance tuning, and production support.
- Strong knowledge of Java, BeanShell, SQL, object-oriented programming, and scripting technologies including PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, directory services, authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management, and enterprise provisioning.
- Experience building and supporting custom SailPoint connectors, rules, workflows, lifecycle events, reports, integrations, and provisioning solutions.
- Experience integrating IAM platforms with enterprise applications such as Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, databases, REST/SOAP services, and cloud technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Git, branching and merging strategies, code reviews, DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
- Practical experience with identity governance concepts including JML, access requests, access certifications, entitlement management, provisioning/deprovisioning, and role-based access control.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments with distributed technical and implementation teams.
- Strong skills in requirements analysis, solution design, technical documentation, code reviews, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, mentoring, analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
